The Nottingham Housing Market in January 2017
Posted on February 1, 2017 by Walton & Allen
The housing market within Nottingham remains buoyant and upbeat as we enter the busy new year period and with Spring on the horizon.
Nottingham city centre and surrounding suburbs have enjoyed excellent levels of activity in all price ranges throughout the course of 2016 and the hope is that this momentum continues throughout 2017.
All the property indicators are aligning with low mortgage interest rates, sensible realistic pricing, stable house prices and even post Brexit has not made any significant difference to the demand from buyers wanting to purchase, with often demand outstripping supply in the second hand home market.
Walton & Allen has seen that with increased volume in property sales, and the demand from buyers, many sales have been agreed at asking price and certainly within 3% of the initial price. The hope is the momentum continues as we look forward to the Spring Market.
The new homes market also continues to gather strength in and around Nottingham with directives from the Government to develop both greenfield & brownfield sites. This has seen multiple developments within the City and buyers taking advantage of the many schemes that builders are offering such as part-exchange, assisted sale packages and of course help from the government with the popular Help To Buy Scheme.
We at Walton & Allen, continue to grow from our prime state of the art office in the Lace Market and are carrying out many market appraisals within the city. We are pleased to offer advice and help with the sale of your home, so please call us now or contact us here to arrange your Free Market Appraisal.
